Taipei American School
Natasia is our Co-Founder and Managing Director. Natasia grew up in Taiwan where she attended Taipei American School through high school. She graduated from Brandeis University in Boston, double majoring in Business Administration and Psychology. After graduating university, Natasia worked for Michael Kors in Shanghai where she helped introduce the brand on a mass scale to the Chinese consumer. Upon Michael Kors’ successful launch, Natasia was recruited to be part of the startup team in Taiwan to help introduce Lululemon Athletica to the Taiwanese market. Natasia’s roles at Michael Kors and Lululemon involved organizing events and tours to help educate the public and key influencers on the respective brands. Throughout her corporate work, education was always Natasia’s favorite aspect of her roles. Finally deciding to fully pursue a career in education, Natasia decided to help build up a kids coding academy in Hong Kong while pursuing a Masters of Education degree at the University of Hong Kong. Natasia has always had a passion for entrepreneurship, events planning, and education. Exploracademy is the combination of her passions and what she wants to contribute to the youth of today.
Fun Fact: Natasia was on the varsity dance team for Taipei American School and was the president for the largest student-run dance team Adagio Dance Company at Brandeis University. Natasia is also a certified Zumba instructor.
College of William and Mary
Niji is also our Co-Founder and Managing Director. Niji spent her early childhood in Taiwan then immigrated to the US and grew up in California. Having experienced both education systems, she has a unique understanding and is a product of the best of both worlds. While in college, Niji worked for ACI Institute, a renowned SAT tutoring chain, and taught SAT math classes. Niji graduated from UCLA with a major in Sociology and minor in Psychology. Upon graduation, she embarked on the adventure of a lifetime and backpacked solo across Europe for 3 months. After being bitten by the travel bug, Niji worked in the travel industry for global companies Contiki and Flight Centre, as well as the luxury resort Pacific Palms. Then, she returned to the education industry and moved to Japan to teach English for the JET Programme. After gaining a few years of professional experience, Niji decided to go back to school and get an MBA; she received the honor of becoming a Mason Scholar at the College of William and Mary, one of the original Public Ivy schools in the US. Niji has extensive experience as an educational consultant, helping international students gain entry into prestigious schools in the US and UK. She also worked for the international education company Study Group to recruit international students for universities in the US. Now, she is ready to use her education background and ample experience to help Exploracademy students on their academic journeys and reach their full potential.
Fun Fact: Niji spent a stint working as an extra in Hollywood and has been on TV shows such as House, How I Met Your Mother and Heroes. She is also an avid traveler and has been to over 50 countries.
John L. Miller Great Neck North High School
University of Pennsylvania
Toby is our Director of North America Operations. Growing up in New York, he attended the prestigious John L. Miller Great Neck North High School where he was on the track & field, football, math and chess teams. Toby went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania as part of the elite Jerome Fisher Management & Technology Program, obtaining dual Bachelors of Science degrees from the Wharton and Engineering Schools. After graduating magna cum laude from Penn, Toby embarked on a storied career in high-stakes finance. Toby has held executive positions at various tier-one Wall Street firms - culminating at Goldman Sachs. Outside the US, Toby has lived in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He is now the father of three impressive boys and is settled in San Marino, California with his wife, Yuka. Apart from his duties at Exploracadmy, Toby is the president of the San Marino Tennis Club and is a member of the University of Pennsylvania undergraduate admissions interview committee.
Fun Fact: Toby moonlighted as a DJ during his undergraduate years at Penn.
The Thacher School
Simon grew up in the Bay Area, California and was an accomplished athlete from a young age. Simon was the United States Tennis Association Northern California No. 1 ranked tennis player in the Boys 10 and under age category and obtained youth sponsorships from various athletic brands. Simon used his strong athletics, competitive GPA, and top tier percentile SSAT score to gain admission to the elite boarding high school, The Thacher School in Ojai, California. At Thacher, Simon’s athletics continued to thrive in the open space the school provided. Simon was in Thacher’s football, soccer, kayaking, basketball, and captain of the tennis team. Not neglecting his academics, Simon was the team captain of Thacher’s Interscholastic Math team that placed 1st in Southern California competition his junior year of high school. With a solid high school resume, Simon was accepted into Georgetown University in Washington D.C. where he majored in Marketing. While at Georgetown, Simon played intercollegiate club tennis and was a member of the Georgetown Composting Organization. Georgetown’s Composting Organization created, built, and installed food waste to fertilizer converter machines all over the DC area. Since graduating from Georgetown, Simon has pursued a career in retail fashion that has taken him all over the world. Simon is an active member in The Thacher School and Georgetown University alumni networks, participating in each respective school’s Asia marketing events. Simon is currently based in Hong Kong.
Fun Fact: At The Thacher School, Simon raised horses and is a skilled equestrian.
University of Texas at Austin
Born and raised in Taiwan, Agnes is the quintessential working mom in Asia. Having a passion for art since a young age, Agnes followed her passion into university and studied Studio Art at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. After graduating, Agnes had an extensive career in web design working in Boston, Taipei, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Her clients included industry heavyweights like McDonalds, SK II, and EVA Airlines. Her manager was so satisfied with her client management work and let her to manage majority accounts for her company. In client management, Agnes has successfully helped her clients such as Wharf, New World, Swire, and Sino Group with creating new brand strategies, brand design and communication materials. Now at Exploracadmy, Agnes brings with her a wealth of international experience as well as experiences that are more close to home - like those of being a busy working mom! Agnes lives in Taipei with her husband Joseph, and their beautiful daughter Sophie.

The Taft School
Growing up as the eldest of three sisters in Taiwan, Jennifer was naturally independent and a leader from a young age. She attended the Taft School, an exclusive boarding school in Watertown, Connecticut for high school where she enjoyed being in both the chamber orchestra and math decathlon team. With an outstanding GPA and notable extracurriculars, including extensive volunteer work in the Watertown community, Jennifer was accepted into Brown University for her undergraduate studies. At Brown, Jennifer double majored in Electrical Engineering and Economics. Somehow, in the midst of her busy academic schedule, Jennifer was in the Brown chapter of the USA IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) management committee as its finance chair. Upon graduation, Jennifer has held various executive positions in tier one Wall Street firms in New York, Singapore, London, and Hong Kong. Jennifer enjoys being an active member in the Brown alumni community and is a member of the Brown University undergraduate admissions interview panel. Jennifer is settled in Hong Kong with her husband Yau and their beautiful daughter Chloe.
Fun Fact: Jennifer is a certified lifeguard in the US.
Lynbrook High School
Cornell University College of Engineering Certified Design Thinking, Instructor
Michael is our Head of Curriculum Development. Michael was born in Taiwan and move to California when he was in elementary school. Growing up in the Bay Area, Michael was fully immersed in everything the culturally diverse hub had to offer. Michael attended Lynbrook High School where he graduated #8 in his class. Starting from the seventh grade and all the way through high school, Michael volunteered at the San Jose Tech Museum as an exhibit explainer and at the Stanford University Hospital as a book reader to the physically disabled. Michael was also a competitive tennis player who was USTA ranked in California, 2-time California team tennis state champion, and played #1 singles for his high school tennis team for all four years. During his senior year of high school, Michael won gold medals in both the Singles and Doubles of the Bay Area Chinese Olympics competition. Michael also had a passion for playing the viola where he was section leader in both his high school orchestra and the South Bay Youth Symphony under famous Bay Area youth orchestra conductors Dr. John Felder and Dr. Peter Suskind respectively. Michael went on to attend UC Berkeley for college where he majored in Economics. Since graduation, and apart from his duties at Exploracademy, Michael has been working on various projects in the education, finance, and fashion industry. Michael is based in Hong Kong.
Fun Fact: Michael is an avid Nike Jordans shoe collector, owning over 100 pairs.
University of British Columbia
Jeffrey is head of our institutional partnership operations. In high school, he was treasurer of the student council and was also awarded the "Outstanding Student Initiative" scholarship from the University of British Columbia which covered tuition for all 4 years of his university studies. The level of accomplishment required for a young student to obtain this amount of scholarship money is just astounding. Jeffrey graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors. After university, he spent time working in London and New York, before settling himself in Hong Kong, working for a global bank. Before leaving Hong Kong to raise his young family in Vancouver, he was running a trading desk of 12 people at Morgan Stanley. In Vancouver, apart from his duties at Exploracademy, Jeffrey now he spends time raising his 3 children with his wife Angel and also volunteers his time to help his community. He is a volunteer at the downtown eastside organization, Union Gospel Mission, where he is a mentor to a 15 year old youth. He also sits on the board of directors at the non-profit group, The Association of Neighborhood Houses British Columbia.
Good Hope School
University of British Columbia
Stephanie is the head of our travel experience operations. Stephanie grew up in Hong Kong, attending the Good Hope School before moving abroad and receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Stephanie is a natural team player and leader where her exceptional skill in people management was recognized from an early age. During her last years of high school at the Good Hope School, Stephanie was elected as the assistant head of the student council on the prefect board, serving 100 prefects in the school district. Her duties included voicing student concerns and organizing student activities that served the community. After university, Stephanie has taken her managerial skills into the workforce where she has been in charge of the APAC retail store operations of some major global brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Aritzia, Apple Computers, and Victoria’s Secret. Needless to say, Stephanie is exceptionally geographically and culturally well versed. Stephanie is currently based in Hong Kong.
Fun Fact: She has been to 21 countries and taken 145 flights last year.
American School in Japan
University of British Columbia
Max is one of the youngest, and perhaps brightest member of our team. Max attended the American School in Japan where the amount of activities he was involved in and the awards he received would go over the word count of any college application essay. To just highlight a few, Max took 10 AP courses, held leadership positions in 5 clubs, competed in varsity track & field, and was ranked 19th in Japan in Boys 18 and under in squash. With all that, Max gained admissions to the internationally renowned Saunder School of Business at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Max is currently the Partners Director of BizTech, the largest student organization dedicated to Business and Technology in UBC. Apart from his role at Exploracadmy, Max has kept busy during his school holidays by interning at large multinational corporations such as Fox TV Network and Leonteq Swiss Investment Engineering.

Singapore American School
Growing up as the youngest sibling with two older sisters, Danny has always been the baby boy of the family. Danny grew up in Singapore where he attended Singapore American School all the way through high school. Though Danny wasn’t heavy on his extracurricular activities, he was always a sharp student who rarely saw anything less than an A next to his name. Danny gained admissions to UC Berkeley in California for his undergraduate studies where he majored in Economics and minored in Business Administration. After graduating, Danny pursued a wide range of career opportunities - he started a couple of his own businesses and he tested the waters in banking. After a few years, Danny decided he needed more education and inspiration to really figure out his career path. Danny reopened the text books and began studying for the GMAT. Acing his GMAT, Danny gained admissions to London Business School where he earned his MBA. The studying paid off. After graduating, Danny had various offers from the top global investment firms. Not only did Danny find a solid career through LBS, he also found his now wife, Laura. Apart from his duties at Exploracademy, Danny focuses on early stage tech startup investing with a special emphasis on corporate financing. The baby boy of the family is now a man with a family of his own. Laura and Danny now split their time between Shenzhen and Hong Kong with their son Leo.
