2-Week Tour to Los Angeles
Long before the Avengers descended into our lives, Los Angeles has been widely recognized as the entertainment capital of the world. The city today continues to entertain, and in many cases, in brand new, innovative ways. LA is now home to some of the world's most widely used social media, gaming, wellness app companies in the world. LA will always impress, and to keep a finger on the pulse of this amazing city is to stay on top of the game. For 2 weeks, Young Explorers will step out of the comforts of their homes and explore the best LA has to offer. Riot Games is a leader in the video game and esports tournament industry. It created League of Legends, one of the most played computer games of all time, helping to drive the boom of esports globally. Esports is a real industry and it is here to stay.
Snapchat is one of the most popular social media platforms among teenagers today. The snap and share platform is playing a key role in changing the way we communicate with each other.
What is PechaKucha?
Developed by architects as an image based presentation method, PechaKucha is a fun and very effective new way to present projects and ideas. Presenters pick 20 images to go with the topic of their choice and have 20 seconds to talk about each image. This is a great way for Young Explorers to train their communication skills, gain confidence, and share a topic of their interest.
